Julia Buntaine is a neuroscience-based visual artist, director of SciArt Center, and editor in chief of SciArt Magazine.
Her work seeks to address the beliefs, theories and findings of the biological phenomenon of consciousness. Beginning with biological form or data, Buntaine departs into the world of aesthetics as she manipulates the idea through the use of scale, metaphor, material and form.
Julia Buntaine has exhibited internationally including shows in New York City, Baltimore, Seattle, Princeton, and Toronto.
Her work can be found in the permanent collection of Johns Hopkins University.
